Access Statement

Introduction

We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors to our 8 bedroom guest house by providing a friendly and welcoming service.  The Anchorage was built in the era of King George 3rd, we aim to meet the needs of all our guests, however, there are some period features which might make access difficult for people with limited mobility.  The following statement is a summary of our provision.  If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will endeavour to help.

Pre-Arrival

Public transport to Weymouth is very good with a bus stop located 200 metres away from the front door. Weymouth train station is only 5 minutes walk away and there are various local taxi services that have accessible taxis.  If required we can make a booking for you so you have a taxi to meet your needs waiting for you. The bus terminal is located opposite the train station. Approach roads/paths from the train or bus station are mostly flat.

Menus can be provided in large print if required, we regret we do not have facilities to provide documents in Braille. Our website, www.theanchorageweymouth.co.uk, provides a selection of pictures of our rooms and more detailed information about our location and facilities.

You can contact us by telephone or email.  There is a direct email link on our website and our full contact details are contained in the ‘contact information’ section of this document.
